Art Journaling YouTube Hop.... Together,,,

Hello and welcome my dear blog readers,

today I want to show you a special blog post.

I was asked by Keren Tamir if I would like to join in for the

Art Journaling YouTube Hop  which is organized by her.

Image may contain: text

There was no time for me to think about it, I did not want to miss that chance.

That`s why I`m so excited....

But before I will start with my  story behind my art journaling,

I will say THANK YOU SO MUCH to all the sponsors.

Image may contain: text
One of this prizes can be yours... by following the rules..

Rules: 1. leave a comment on each video.

           2. Subcribe to each art journaling hop artist channel.

The winner will be chosen randomly from different channels.

Easy right!!!

I will show you a video tutorial where I create a page for my

fariytale, whimsical art journal book in the size 15 cm x 15 cm.

With fashion kids photos from magazines or pinteres.

TIP: open your heart and mind to something new like a new art journal technique.

I have three different art journal books.

One book is  from Ranger and two handmade books. All these books are different.

I use one book for my urban and architecture sketches which I combine with

vintage photos, stamps, watercolor and washi tape. I like to use images, stamps

and drawing elements to communicate my feelings and mood.

TIP: convey all of your emotions in your art jounal. Trust your intuition.

My second art journal is a handmade art journal in the size 24 cm x 32 cm.

I used these pages to test new colors or try to see how new stamps and stencil looks.

For me is this art journal an exercise book....I can mess this up, my journal is for my own

self-expression and creative development, so there are no wrong pages...

TIPS: to keep colors vibrant, dry between each layers,

this helps to prevent making colors muddy.

Using stamps is a great way to add visual interest to your background.

Using highlights (White pen) or shadows (black pen) help make your art journal

page more dimensional.

Be creative with washi tape and tissue paper.

Different paper made a different color result.(watercolor-paper, special stamp paper....)

Never think that you are not good enough to enjoy a creative life...

There is beauty in imperfection...

Let be creative together...

I used for this page: 13@rts clear Gesso, Ranger collage medium, Lindy`s spray,

Finnabair modeling-paste and black gesso, regular white cardstock, Acrylic- medium,

Lindys spry: bells of Irland green, hags bWart Orange, Yellow Rose of Texas, Hi Maintenance

Magenta, LaBlanche Germany stamp, Archival Ink. vivid chartreus and catus flower,

AALL&Create stamp, Carabelle studio stamp, Art Journey stamp, Versafine onyx black ink,

Archival jet black ink, Hobbyshop stencil 063, Posca pen, Faber big brush pen, Ranger DYS 34223,

Lindy`s embossing powder prima donna purple, WOW embossing powder earthtone olive

and primary sherbert, Ranger emboss it, Stabilo pen, Ecoline nr. 100, Gouache deep gold,

tacky glue, Scrap fx Australia silhouette.

Order of the Artist: Tusia Lech,
                                Tiffany Solorio,

Mixed Media Canvas

Hello everyone and welcome on my blog,

Happy Mother`s day to all my blog readers.....

in deep rich blue with elements of rust.

OMG I feel in love... and today it is a raining cats and dogs day...

perfect for a crafty day...

The photo in the middle below and also the sketch were my inspiration.

Here is the mood board...

Deep.Inside is a fantastic name for this challenge.

Blue is one of my favorite colors in combination with Quinacridone Gold.

step by step .....

I started with Paynes Gray and Ultramarine Acrylic color  for the whole background.

After drying I stamped some flowers from Unity Stamp Company with Cobalt Achival Ink.

After then I colored the flower with Vermillion Acrylic and Fresh Orange.

Amsterdam extra heavy medium to a stencil was my next step.

After drying from the medium I colored the medium with twinkeling H2O`s.

A little bit text stamp work with Versafine onyx black. ready was my background.

For my layering I used: Laces, Chipboard, DIE cuts, metallic embellishments.

My title...

Sometimes I wonder how you put up with me.

Then I remember oh, I put up with you.

So we`re even....

I wish you all a fantastic day  with awesome memories...

May Play Layout inspiration.

Hello and again for today.

I have for you a mixed media layout which I designed for the new challenge blog

Here is the Link:

Exciting that there is a new challenge blog.

Sharon a talented mixed media artist is the owner from this site.

She invites me for a guest design.. Thank you so much my dear friend.

Here my dear followers is the mood board.

All about the center...

I created for this first challenge a mixed media layout.

My May Challenge Monthly Tip:

First I am always looking for the perfect photo (the center of the layout).

The selection can by influenced by: my day-mood or my day-color

or my day-song....... or in this case the mood bord form the challenge blog.

For me the most important thing is  the background work.

As for the old Masters I prefer to start on a white paper.

Stamps and stencil with waterproof Ink is always my first step.

The photo is my guideline that means I put the photo on the paper over and over again,

to control where I have to stamp, where I have to add color, where I have to work with the stencil.

The embellishment part is dependent from what I have designed in the background.

Sometimes I glue my photo directly on the paper with a title and done,

or I add laces, sisal, wire and and and ....

I wish everyone best luck for the May challenge.

There are awesome prizes to win.

Lindy`s, 7 Dots studio, Lemon Craft and Worth Products...

I used for this layout:

Archival Ink, Distress Ink, Acrylic Ink, 13@rts gold Ink, Ecoline Nr 100,

lots of leaves stamps, Chipboard ....

I hope you feel a little bit inspired.

Dear Sharon I would like to say thank you so much for

being a guest designer for your first challenge..

Thank you so much for visiting my blog post.

Have a nice day.

13arts challenge layout

Hello everyone,

today I have for you a layout which I have created for the current challenge

at 13arts.

They have a beautiful mood board with rich colors.

Here is the mood board for you:

Here is the link to 13arts : 13arts

A few months ago I started with a new scrapbook layout series:

"women around the world. This challenge mood board got me back to

create a new layout. Thank you Anguree for your inspiration and for the mood board.

At the beginning of my new series, I still glued young women faces on my layouts,

but I quickly came to the conclusion that it looks good but not good enough for me.

I wanted to tell stories  and stories are not on model faces but only on older ladies.

There is nothing more beautiful than a happy old face. I`ve always thought that getting older has

something positive. Since I crossed the 50 years mark, I feel relax and positive too!!

Now my life is filled with happiness, love and respect for each other. I also know that many people

do not have this luck...I am very grateful for everything I have...

"women around the world"

She is so beautiful, right??

I used for this page:

13arts clear gesso, Ayeeda mist in chalk woodbine, chalk dark brown , pearl old gold

Ayeeda ink gold and black pastel mist.

Archival Ink, Black gesso, carabelle studio stamp, AALL&CREATE stamp,

Hobbyshop Sandra stencil Nr. 174.

My dear blog reader, thank you so much for your visit today.

Until next time.

postcard for the challenge by MTW

Good morning everyone,

it`s about a good month that we made a change in the Facebook mini challenge group

by More Than Words. Now postcards are left too in the size 10 cm x 15 cm.

I´m a big fan of homemade postcard in 2D style.

The challenge rule is the same. We must see the "word" from the month on your project.

This is my postcard from the February mini challenge with the word " come".

I used a standard black cardstock card as base.

My background paper is Ranger special stamp paper which I cut to

9,5 cm x 14,5 cm. Many different Distress Oxide and Distress Inks also Distress Paint

give a harmony as I like it !! Stamp and stencil work, doodles with a black and white

Posca pen and a lovely photo images from Tim Holtz complete the whole thing to

a small work of ART!!

I also brought my DT member postcard for the March month

to life in this way. Our challenge word is "warm"...

According to the calendar, we have spring here in Europe...

But the nature has not really responded to it !! At night we still get minus temperatures here.

I wanted to plant the first spring flowers outside so it looks a bit festive for Easter....

but I think that I wait a little bit...  "stay warm" is a perfect title for this postcard

and the title fits well with the weather here in The Netherlands.

Here is the link to MTW: morethanwordschallenge

Thank you for reading today my post.

Bye for now.

Art Journal

Hello my dear blog readers,

I started weeks ago with my new 15 cm x 15 cm mini art journal

pages. Inspired by Rach0113 on YouTube.

Still I love this size and my collection fashion children photos

get finally a lovely place.

This art journal page is inspired by the March "pick a stick challenge"

on Facebook. The color challenge was: pistachio and grey.

and the steps are: sprinkles, stencil, letter, heat, dark and snowflakes.

I used: Distress oxide in cracked pistachio and Distress ink in hickory smoke.

Prima black gesso. Ecoline Nr. 100. Gold embossing powder. Tim Holtz stencil

and stickers. The crafters workshop stencil. WOW white embossing powder.

For this beautiful girl I created a doodle background. That was the challenge from Rach0113.

I love to experiment with colors. The warm yellow/gold color in contrast to the cold color

gives a stunning effect.

I used for this art Journal page: Prima Acrylic paint in fresh orange and gold rush.

And for the doodles black, white and red wine Posca pen.

The sticker is from Tim Holtz.

Here is the blog from Rachel: artfulevidence

Thank you very much for reading my blog post today. I really appreciate it!!

Maybe I could inspire you a bit??...

Than leave me a comment behind so that I can also look over your blog post.

Bye for now...

xoxo Heike

Hello, hello,

today I want to share with you my two new art journal pages.

Inspired from Rach0113 on YouTube.( I think her name is Rachel)

She publishes a new challenge once a week on YouTube,

The first challenge was " Flowers"

There is also a Facebook page under #Artful Evidence

which you can share your interpretation from the challenge.

The art journal page must be 6x6inch or 15 cm x 15 cm.

From my collection of children- fashion photography in black and white

I always wanted to make a small fairy-tale or whimsy cal art book.

I just needed this challenge to start my book.

Thanks Rach0113.
